Welcome

Troon Men’s Shed has the purpose to provide recreational facilities and advance the social needs, health and well being of men of all ages and backgrounds living in Troon and surrounding areas.

Troon Men’s Shed is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR), Scottish Charity number SC053474

Meetings

We meet weekly on a Monday afternoon from 2pm to 3.30pm in The Lighthouse Christian Centre in Ailsa Road for a ‘brew & blether’ and to hear from guest speakers.

For details of our forthcoming meetings, events and activities click the button below to view the calendar.

Helping Out

We have carried out several projects to help out in the community which included DIY and furniture assembly at Ayrshire Cancer Support. Our members also volunteer to help out at community events such as Troon Gala Day, Wintertainment, Troon Round Table Fireworks and Santa Float

Hosiery Park Pavilion

In June 2026 our Community Asset Transfer request to purchase the former Hosiery Park Pavilion on Brodie Avenue for £1 was approved by South Ayrshire Council and we are currently working on completing the purchase.

Once the building has been acquired it will require significant work to develop it into a suitable facility for us to use as a men’s shed. Click the button below for more information about our plans to develop the building.

Supporters

We are very grateful to the various organisations who have provided Troon Men’s Shed with grants, donations or support to enable us to hold meetings, undertake activities and work towards obtaining our own Shed.

Join Us

Membership is free and is open to any man aged 18 or over who lives in Troon or the surrounding area, and who supports our purpose.

Apply to join using the button below or come along to one of our meetings where we have membership forms available.
