Our first open day on Wednesday 19th November was a great success with 65 people attending to find out more about what we do and our plans for the future.
The event took place on International Men’s Day and as part of the Scottish Men’s Sheds Association Open Shed Doors Day.
We gained several new members who signed up on the day and our membership is now over 100 and continuing to grow.
Thanks go to the following organisations and people who supported the open day:
- South Ayrshire Council
- South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership
- NHS Ayrshire & Arran Occupational Therapy
- Ayrshire Ukulele Clan
- Scottish Energy Trust / Home Energy Scotland
- Brandon Van Rensburg (Tempura)
- Co-op
We were also please to welcome That’s TV Ayrshire who did some filming and we featured on their evening news bulletin. Click the image on the left to view their video.
If you weren’t able to attend the open day and are interested in finding out more, then coming along to any of our weekly meetings on a Monday afternoon from 2pm to 3.30pm in the Lighthouse Christian Centre on Ailsa Road.
