Support Troon Men’s Shed Plan to Acquire Hosiery Park Pavilion

Troon Men’s Shed is calling on the local community to support our application to acquire the former Hosiery Park Pavilion on Brodie Avenue through a Community Asset Transfer (CAT) from South Ayrshire Council.

The Hosiery Park Pavilion has been unused for several years and has fallen into disrepair. We are applying to purchase the disused pavilion in order to transform it into a welcoming, inclusive space with a multi-use social meeting space and a workshop room.

The project will not only preserve a local asset but create a hub that supports wellbeing, reduces isolation, and strengthens community connections, as when not being used as a Men’s Shed it will be available for use by other community groups.

As part of the Community Asset Transfer process, members of the public are invited to submit their views on the proposal to South Ayrshire Council with the deadline for representations on 16 April 2026 at 4:45pm.

Troon Men’s Shed is encouraging residents, local organisations, and community stakeholders to show their support for the project by providing feedback to South Ayrshire Council in support of our Community Asset Transfer request.

Feedback can submitted via the Council’s online consultation process with full details on the Council webpage: https://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/article/82752/Troon-Men-s-Shed-SC053474
